UNI AMA had 10 members attend the 2017 Conference, “Experiential Marketing.” We had one person, Jacob Smith, compete in the Digital Marketing Strategy competition (did not place).
This year’s speakers were Summerfest, GMR Marketing, the Milwaukee Bucks, and Tito’s Vodka. Each speaker’s presentation was structured around company efforts to provide customers with unique, tangible experiences with their brand. These speakers were insightful and gave the chapter attendees better insight into the growing field of experiential marketing.
At the beginning of the day on Friday (10/13), members attended a career fair, speaking with representatives from many companies including GMR, Target, Pepsi, and many others. It was a great opportunity to network with recruiters from companies that do not attend the UNI career fair and that are looking specifically for marketing talent.
In addition to networking with recruiters, members met and connected with members of other chapters throughout the conference, especially during the Bowling Social on Thursday (10/12) night.
Overall, the UWW Marketing Conference was an extremely valuable experience, and we can't wait to come back next year!
